Size wise if you are physically well built i.e. got huge body then you need more lateral support which will help you in keeping the balance.

For those with pronated feet type also require more lateral support since it helps in taking the strain from your ankles and knees.

Tennis is considered to be a sport which is rough on the shoes especially on the sole and toe so it is always recommended to buy a shoe with the sole which has long life. More durable soles are required especially while playing this sport on hard court. While playing on soft court one need not be as particular as playing on the hard court on the durability requirements.

Another important aspect to be kept in mind is purchase a shoe with appropriate cushioning and shock absorption which is a must requirement from comfort point of view while playing tennis sport.
